Pre-Assembly Operator-Tyler Coupling

Under direct supervision, using standard processes and continuous improvements, the Preassembly Operator performs automated machine operations on a machine composed of multi-assembly stations, oriented to take five component parts and create a complete unit in a timely and efficient manner that meet the quality standards to ensure the delivery of world-class products to Tyler Coupling customers.
· Responsible for machine set-up/adjustments. Coordinates production changes and requests maintenance for the
machines.
· Responsible for removing and setting up dies and die components for the proper operation of the equipment.
· Keeps constant visual watch and control of all substations to make a complete cycle. Evaluates speed time and makes any minor adjustments to keep cycle operating smoothly. General maintenance of automated equipment and its supporting equipment.
· Use of hand tools: allen-wrenches, snipes and other tools to guide material through dies.
· Use of material handling equipment (Pallet Jack, powered material loader, etc) to load material to the various supporting equipment.
· Loads component parts, such as saddles, housings and raw coils of corrugated material into designated stations.
· Responsible for rework, salvage materials and the sorting of components used.
· Responsible for Production, Quality of Product and Documentation of daily numbers.
· Keeps area and equipment clean and orderly at all times.
· Follow Supervisors’ instructions at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
· Other duties as assigned.

3. Must have mechanical abilities and good manual dexterity.
4. Work independently and as a team player.
5. Ability to follow directions.
6. Maintain work area clean.
7. Ability to sit/stand for periods of up to 8 hours.
8. Repetitive grasping and gripping with hands.
9. Regularly required to bend, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
