Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end quality strategies for robot manufacturing, from subassemblies to full systems

  • Conduct PFMEA to identify failure modes and enhance test coverage and process robustness

  • Work with test and firmware engineers to integrate quality checks into manufacturing workflows

  • Analyze test data to monitor station yields and identify root causes of failures

  • Collaborate with design teams to implement quality improvements at both component and system levels

  • Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish optimized pass/fail limits and improve test accuracy

  • Evaluate test station performance and scalability across different production sites

  • Document quality plans, testing procedures, and data-driven corrective actions

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in electromechanical hardware testing in a manufacturing environment

  • Familiarity with PCBA testing, IMU calibration, actuator and sensor validation, or end-of-line system testing

  • Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Gage R&R, and statistical data analysis

  • Experience working with test hardware (e.g. power supplies, CAN tools, actuators) in production environments

  • Self-starter with strong time management skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient in technical documentation and cross-functional communication

  • Nice to have: experience with autonomous or humanoid robotic systems; exposure to scalable test systems across multiple manufacturing sites; background in startup or fast-paced hardware development environments
