Payroll Specialist
at Advanced Stimulation Technologies
Responsible for performing high level payroll activities while maintaining operational efficiency within the payroll department. Essential Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely processing of U.S. payroll. Review, audit and balance all payroll-related inputs to ensure accurate and timely payment of earnings, deductions, and taxes, compliant with federal & state regulations. Audit Dayforce reports to ensure errors are identified and reported to appropriate departments in a timely manner. Validate payroll reconciliation prior to processing. Scan and upload garnishments to Dayforce and enter on employee record. Run report to ensure garnishment order deductions are accurately withheld or end dated as instructed on the order. Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Execute standard Dayforce reports/queries as well as conduct ad-hoc reporting as necessary. Complete special projects as related to the payroll function in order to bring value to the company through streamlining processes, automation, etc. Perform ad-hoc tasks and requests to support the department. Maintain effective internal controls that impact the payroll function. Register for new state and local tax accounts using Dayforce. Interact with employees, HR Partners, and vendors to answer payroll related inquiries via phone or email. Develop and maintain a strong and mutually benefiting partnership with Human Resources. Performs other related duties are required. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration, leave of absence coordination, employee assistance role or other related field. 2+ years payroll experience in mid-to-large, multi-state company, required. Dayforce Payroll experience, required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Effectively communicates, both written and orally. Experience in Oil and Gas industry, preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to read, speak and write English. Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions. Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload. Able to work under stressful conditions at times. Communication - phone communication, communication with personnel and vendors. Seeing - able to see the computer screen. Climbing - able to go up, down and over equipment in a safe manner using good judgment and proper safety equipment as required. Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week with frequent extended hours required based on workload requirements. Position will require (24) twenty-four hours availability, with (7) seven-day weeks when workload requires, with time off scheduled per current workload.
