With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.
The Robot Operator is responsible for manufacturing high-quality parts and assemblies in accordance with engineering specifications, work orders, and production requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with engineering requirements, work orders, prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information to manufacture to quality requirements, parts and assemblies.
- Fabricate assemblies using computerized numerical controlled (CNC) mediums while simultaneously ensuring product and/or process quality at all levels of the manufacturing operation through monitoring/verification methodologies.
- Determine and adjust as necessary machine feeds, speeds, and work alignment using shop mathematics, charts and graphs and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to machine proof new and revised part programs.
- Adjust tool set-ups and make minor machine adjustments to ensure safe operation of the machine.
- Adapt tooling and holding fixtures as necessary to orient machine tool cutters and machining fixtures.
- Ability to check parts for correct dimensions using heights gages, gauge blocks, micrometers, calipers, protractors, and other precisions tools.
- Use precision measuring instruments required to accomplish tasks.
- Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
- Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specification.
- Identify discrepancies found per applicable procedure.
- Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.
- Assist in the training of other assembly personnel in assembly and installation techniques.
