CNC Machine & Laser Engraver Operator

The Opportunity
The CNC Machine and Laser Engraver Operator encompass the operation of 2 very distinct machines. The role includes using software to run files on the CNC Machine and using software to generate and run files on the laser engraver.
The Role
- Load materials onto the CNC Machine for drilling/cutting etc.
- Operate the CNC Machine. The run files would be prepared by others (option to learn some basic run file preparation).
- Change tooling on CNC Machine as it wears out.
- Basic maintenance of CNC Machine (greasing, lubrication).
- Prepare files using software (EngraveLab) for the laser engraving machine.
- Operate the laser engraving machine.
- Add adhesive tape to engraved labels.
The Candidate
Education: High School
Work Experience: 3-5 years
Experience:
- Experience with operating of CNC or similar machines is strongly encouraged and would be an asset.
- Strong computer skills a requirement (Windows, MS Office).
- Experience with drafting/graphic design software would be an asset (i.e. AutoCAD, AutoSketch, MicroStation, CorelDraw, EngraveLab, SignLab or similar)
- General hand tool & power tool operation.
