Job Purpose
Support Downstream Management and the Downstream Group Companies and Employees
with HC, Audit, and other resources concerns including alignment with other
directorates. Provide guidance, strategic direction, ensure communication
flows, establish performance standards, and support Downstream Management in
delivery of their People pillar objectives.
Plan, direct, control and supervise the events of Downstream Directorate.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Manage the Downstream Directorate and Group Company’s resource movement to
ensure the required interface is understood and implemented.
• Oversee and coordinate Downstream Organizational Movement (direct hire,
Concession holders’ secondees, and service contract personnel) to achieve
Downstream directorate and Downstream Group Companies.
• Responsible for change process introduction and maintaining the new
organizational culture and values to ensure adoption of worldwide best
practices.
• Manage an effective communication process, in liaison with other
Directorates and Group Companies to foster two-way information flow.
• Ensure the development of procedures and process as required for addressing
Downstream Directorates People Progression, Development and Group Companies
requirements.
• Review, amend and endorse organizational / manpower changes.
• Support Downstream Management events related matters with proper
communication, setups and execution.
• Liaise with Downstream Group Companies and Concession holders for event
participation to maximize the outcome for all participants.
• Ensure that business process in place and being applied to continuously
improve the performance of Downstream Planning Business Support Team.
• Initiate and recommend to Downstream Management appropriate changes in areas
of organization development to ensure optimization and effectiveness of
manpower resources.
• Advise Downstream Management on trends/potential areas of concern which
requires immediate attention, and initiate /advise appropriate course of
action.
• Liaise with Company’s External Auditors upon Management directives.
• Consolidate Internal Audit recommendations and provide advice to Downstream
Management on existence and reliability of internal controls to ensure better
utilization of Company resources, that operating controls conform to Company’s
policy and regulations and prevent misalignments.
• Guide, direct and supervise subordinates to ensure they work to their best
potential and contribute effectively as a team.
• Work in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE
rules and regulations by subordinates.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• 15 years of relevant experience in an oil and gas industry, 7 years of which
should have been in a managerial capacity.
• Experience in leading complex process innovation initiatives and large-scale
change management.
