Pool Nurse Tech

The Nurse Tech 1 assists in delivering direct patient care across a wide range of patient populations including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. They provide support with vital signs, personal hygiene, dietary needs, ambulation, and specific nursing tasks as permitted. Reporting to the patient care nurse and charge nurse, the Nurse Tech 1 ensures that all patient care is conducted with respect for the patient's dignity, privacy, and rights. The position requires flexibility, clinical competence, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to different care environments such as Med. PCU, ICU, SDS, Recovery, ER, and outpatient rehab.
Essential Functions
· Perform tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and supporting ambulation.
· Help patients with eating and dietary requirements based on individual needs.
· Observe and document changes in patient conditions, reporting them to the nurse or charge nurse.
· Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control procedures and using protective equipment as required.
· Aid in various nursing tasks, including signed-off nursing skills, under the supervision of licensed nurses.
· Offer comfort and reassurance to patients and families, maintaining a compassionate and supportive attitude.
· Assist with patient movement, including repositioning, ambulation, and transfers.
· Uphold patient dignity, rights, and privacy in all aspects of care.
· Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other team members to coordinate care and address patient needs.
· Engage in ongoing learning and development to improve clinical competence and stay updated on best practices in patient care
