The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District was formed by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors in 1968, in response to the County's first air pollution study and is classified as a Special District. Under supervision of the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District Public Information Officer, the Clean Air Ambassador assists with departmental goals and objectives by providing technical, administrative, and clerical support across a variety of projects.
