** Job Description:**
The Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner will be responsible for providing an efficient Occupational health/Primary Health service for employees, which includes promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare. Assisting with surveys, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies, assist with counselling and referring of EAP candidates

Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- Must have + 1 years’ experience as Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner

- Primary Healthcare experience
Qualification:
- Diploma in General Nursing OR Diploma in Occupational Health with Registration at SANC as Registered Nurse
- Primary HealthCare Qualification
- Certificate in Audiometry
- Certificate in Vision screening
- Certificate in Spirometry
- Certificate in Dispensing

Roles and Responsibilities:
Occupational Health Services:
- Arrange, conduct, and document pre-placement, annual, and exit medical examinations.
- Administer medical fitness assessments, including spirometry, vision screening, and audiometry testing.
- Provide treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses, ensuring appropriate follow-up and reporting.
- Assist with legislated occupational biological monitoring and report abnormalities to the Nurse Manager.
- Monitor and document employee medical records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Implement Health programs and promote employee wellness.
- Assist with injury reports, collecting necessary documentation, and liaising with line management.
- Maintain awareness of environmental and ergonomic factors affecting workplace health.
Primary Healthcare and Employee Well-being:
- Diagnose, treat, and monitor illnesses, escalating complex cases as needed.
- Offer confidential counselling and disease progression monitoring.
- Provide health education, both formal and informal, to employees.
- Support employees through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) policies.
- Review and validate sick certificates, providing guidance where required.
- Manage day-to-day illnesses to minimise lost work time.
Telemedicine Services:
- Conduct patient assessments and triage via phone or video consultations.
- Provide remote patient monitoring for chronic conditions.
- Educate patients on health conditions, medication management, and treatment plans.
- Offer counselling and mental health support through virtual consultations.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of treatment.
- Follow up on post-treatment recovery and address patient concerns remotely.
- Reporting on healthcare issues of the workforce.
Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate medical and treatment records as per legal requirements.
- Ensure effective cost management by minimising unnecessary expenditure.
- Supervise and manage the Call Centre team.
- Communicate effectively with management and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with government health policies and workplace health regulations.
