About The Division
Statewide Procurement Division connects vendors with state purchasers and contract opportunities to help state and local government entities procure non-IT goods and services through easily accessible contracts that meet their needs.
General description
The Comptroller’s office is seeking an Outreach Specialist in the Statewide Procurement Division. This role performs senior level consultative services and technical assistance work for the Statewide Procurement Division’s Outreach team. Serves the Outreach Team in all functional areas including customer service, the Vendor Performance tracking system, Texas SmartBuy support, Texas SmartBuy membership program support, Centralized Master Bidder’s List program support, division web maintenance and public outreach. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing Outreach programs and providing consultative services and technical assistance to Vendor Performance, Texas SmartBuy Support, Texas SmartBuy Membership, and Centralized Master Bidder’s List program staff, governmental agencies, and the vendor community.

Work Hours:
8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 40 hours. Occasional weekend and/or late-evening work may be required. Actual work hours may change based on business need. Must be able to work flexible hours during legislative sessions; and, as needed.
