Quality Manager

ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.

We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in Elkhart, IN. TheQuality Manager plans, coordinates and directs the ACTIA Quality Program. As the Quality team leader, you will be expected to direct all quality department associates in regards to the organizations policies and practices. As management Quality representative you will be responsible to maintain the integrity of the QMS, understand and meet customer expectations as well as various statutory and regulatory requirements.

Job Specific Competencies:

Quality Management

  1. Manages the ACTIA quality team
  2. Presents information and/or responds to inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers, co-worker or management
  3. Monitors internal and supplier quality performance
  4. Champions proactive solutions to ensure acceptable quality performance
  5. Reviews, Analyzes and Interprets regulatory, scientific and technical documents
  6. Effectively communicates and directs ISO standards training activities
  7. Effectively communicates and directs ACTIA Quality Management System training activities

Legal Compliance

  1. Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
  2. Ensure ISO procedures are followed
  3. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Working Conditions

  1. Movement - This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  2. Operate/Use - Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)
  3. Ascend/Descend - Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files
  4. Communicate - This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  5. Transport - This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moves up to 50 pounds for various needs.
  6. Work Environment - Relatively quiet but fast paced.
  7. Travel - Occasional travel to customers and vendors, with overnight stays, may be required.
