Facilities Technician
Join our team as an Facilities Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring world class operations, buildout, and maintenance of our satellite manufacturing facility and office space. This position offers the opportunity to work with a tight-knit team using various tools and equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Role
- Perform hands on installation, maintenance, and repairs, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
- Respond to emergent requests to limit facility and equipment downtime
- Assemble, arrange, and move furniture and equipment as needed for new area buildouts or moves
- Open, track and resolve electronic work tickets for requests and projects
- Work with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe and secure work environment
- Document and maintain various tools, hardware, and equipment in order to limit downtime
- Provide operational and logistics support for our spacecraft and technology development programs as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years working in a facility technician, construction trade, or similar technical hands-on role
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Ability to safely utilize ladders of various heights to complete tasks and projects
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortable with being on your feet for extended periods
Bonus
- Prior working experience in a hardware manufacturing and testing facility
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical systems
- Experience programming and operating digital Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Aerial Work Platform certification or experience
- Familiarity with Google tools, JIRA, and Confluence
