About the Role
NuvemRx is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at our pharmacy at 104 Railroad Street, Bedford, PA. 15522 . You will work Monday–Friday, 8:30AM–5:00PM with no nights, weekends, or major holidays. You'll play a vital role supporting our patient population while ensuring accurate, compassionate, and efficient pharmacy care.
What You'll Do
Prescription Processing & Patient Service
- Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department.
- Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
- Greet customers and answer questions.
- Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g., rejected insurance claims).
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
Operations & Compliance
- Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor inventory.
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g., record-keeping) as assigned.
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards and activities.
- Maintain current HIPAA, HITECH, and FWA credentialing.
- Assist the pharmacist with clinical and non-clinical operations; document and report quality issues appropriately.
- Package orders per policies and procedures.
- Coordinate medication delivery location and estimated time with patient.
- Prepare and arrange delivery of medication with courier or shipping service.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescription claims.
- Answer incoming calls for prescription orders, refills, and make outgoing follow-up calls; triage and escalate as needed.
What You Bring
Core Capabilities
- At least one year of proven experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, if required in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of medication and dosage calculations, pharmacy law, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills; reliable with a keen eye for detail.
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program, if required in the state of practice.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with pharmacy system.
Language Requirement
Proficiency in English

Compensation
The expected base salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.
