Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi- automated, or automated methodologies and equipment. Performs phlebotomy procedures and assists in other laboratory activities as requested. Performs Section Head Duties when Section Head is not available. The Medical Technologist is competent in providing direct care to patients within the following age brackets: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
