Job Type: Full-Time/ Part-time/ PRN

Schedule: Day Shift

Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate

Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Working collaboratively with, patients, families and the interdisciplinary care team, the SLP develops individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function while promoting independence and quality of life.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and evidence-based practices.

  • Provide skilled therapy sessions, including exercises, strategies, and interventions to address speech and swallowing disorders

  • Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting treatment plans as needed.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, communication strategies, and home exercises

  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, state licensure requirements, and professional standards of practice.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications and Skills:

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Maryland

  • Strong clinical skills in evaluation, treatment, and documentation

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
