Data**Analyst**II**(Data**ManagementAnalyst)
The Data Analyst reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and works within the Information Technology Division. This position assists with agency- wide data management work and ensures governance guidelines are followed across data systems within the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Agency. This position will work under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
This position:
· Identifies KPIs and develops metrics to track and measure business performance.
· Creates and maintains datasets, reports, and dashboards using data analytics platforms and related tools.
· Assists with creation and maintenance of tailored data literacy resources both for agency-wide staff and specific to certain areas of the agency.
· Creates and maintains technical and business data catalogs and metadata for various datasets.
· Publishes and maintains datasets consumed across the agency.
· Assists with efforts to ensure data quality across both structured and unstructured data.
· Maintains data access to staff based on organizational data governance requirements.
· Collaborates with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
· Assists with other data management duties as assigned.
· Travel is required up to 5% of the time. If travel is over 10%, you must maintain a state of Texas Driver’s License.
