Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is hiring a Part-Time Emergency Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant for our outpatient Emergency department. This position is ideal for experienced veterinary professionals seeking consistent weekday evening shifts only in a fast- paced, team-focused environment.

Schedule

  • Part-Time
  • Weekday evenings only
  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with outpatient emergency appointments and procedures
  • Provide compassionate client communication and patient care
  • Perform diagnostics including radiographs, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecals, and cytology
  • Administer medications via IV, SQ, IM, and PO routes
  • Place intravenous catheters
  • Assist with sedated procedures and treatments
  • Monitor and support patient care as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and restocking throughout the department

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary clinical experience required
  • Emergency or urgent care experience preferred
  • Strong technical and multitasking skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for emergency veterinary medicine and patient care
