We're seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Radon and Drinking Water Laboratory and its support team. In this role, you will focus on day-to- day administrative tasks and special projects, ensuring operational efficiency by proactively addressing challenges as they arise.

• Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Are able to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Are proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including complex spreadsheets)
• Are punctual, reliable, and thrive working both independently and as part of a team

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying
• Answer phones promptly and use good judgment to prioritize the distribution of messages in a timely manner
• Perform data entry and scan documents as required
• Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails
• Mail test kit orders and laboratory result reports
• Submit electronic data to state regulators
• Assist with inventory tracking and replenishment
• Provide general support assistance as required
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years of experience working in the service or administrative industry preferred
• This job operates primarily in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
• Occasionally, this role may involve working in a professional laboratory environment using standard laboratory equipment
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
• Travel on an as-needed basis
