Overview
Are you a focused, driven B2B sales professional looking to join a knowledgeable team that is poised for growth? Do you have a strong grasp of sales processes within Data Center infrastructure?
If so, GCG is currently growing a specialized team focused on supporting data center customers and partners as they plan, source, and deploy critical infrastructure! To support those efforts, we’re seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative. In this role, you will harness your exceptional communication skills and sales expertise to drive revenue growth and proactively build lasting business relationships with key decision makers in the Data Center Infrastructure market!
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of expanding our presence in the Data Center market, ensuring we are a trusted partner and distributor of choice for our customers.
*This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in office at our Chicago headquarters.
What you’ll do
- Develop in-depth familiarity with GCG Data Center solutions to provide best-in-class customer support and educate customers about products, applications, pricing, and availability
- Understand the market to initiate and execute strategic growth plans to ensure annual goals are achieved
- Nurture relationships with GCG customers to increase sales revenue as product offerings continue to expand
- Research and prospect for new business leads and expanded business opportunities within targeted markets utilizing a consultative sales approach that facilitates return business
- Create and execute a plan to hit year over year revenue growth targets
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements with customers and vendors as the book of business steadily grows
- Demonstrate all aspects of the sales process including cold calling and prospecting, handling objections, closing, and follow-up
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, engineering, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Demonstrated track record of success with 5 years of business-to-business inside sales experience, preferably within the Data Center space
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment
- Strong customer service orientation and follow-up skills with the ability actively pursue new business opportunities
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Teams, Outlook, and Excel
- Previous experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM system
- Previous experience with Oracle or comparable ERP system

Competitive Annual Salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year based on relevant industry experience and eligibility for annual bonus based on company and individual performance
