*About 1nHealth, Inc.*
1nHealth is a software-centric patient recruitment company for the clinical
research industry. We connect patients with clinical trials, helping advance
human health. After 6 years as a bootstrapped startup, we’ve grown to 40
employees serving top pharma, biotech, and CRO clients—profitably and on our
own terms.
We’re a meritocracy that rewards ownership, speed, and craft. If you want to build things that matter at a company that actually ships, come join us.
*About the role*
We’re looking for a builder. Someone who can take a messy workflow, a product
idea, or a half-formed vision and turn it into something real—fast. You’ll
work closely with our CEO and cross-functional leaders (Enrollment Operations,
Campaigns, Project Management, Clinical Operations, Sales/BD, and Finance) to
identify high-impact opportunities and ship practical
solutions that multiply our execution capacity across the entire business.
You’ll build standalone apps, product prototypes, and internal tools—many of which will be handed off to engineering for production. You’ll also identify and automate complex workflows using a mix of AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, GPT Codex, Replit Agent, etc.), no-code/low-code platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make), and good old-fashioned problem-solving.
This isn’t a process documentation role. This is a build things role. You need to be comfortable going from zero to working product in a day, not a quarter.
Equally important: you have a strong eye for design. When you build something, it looks good—clean, modern, intentional. The goal is for your work to ship without needing to be redesigned.
*What You'll Own*
• Rapid Prototyping & App Development: Build functional apps, internal tools,
and product prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools (vibe coding). Move from
concept to working demo quickly so we can validate ideas and hand off to
engineering with confidence.
• Workflow Automation: Identify repetitive, manual, or broken workflows across
departments and build automations that actually work—whether that’s through
code, n8n/Zapier/Make, or a custom-built tool.
• AI-Powered Solutions: Design and implement AI-enabled workflows using prompt
engineering, structured outputs, and human-in-the-loop review where needed.
You’ll create reusable prompt libraries, templates, and internal AI tools.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Work across Enrollment Ops, Campaigns, Project
Management, Clinical Ops, Sales, and Finance to ship solutions that serve the
whole business—not just one team.
• Design-Forward Delivery: Everything you build should reflect strong visual
and UX sensibility. You’re not just making it work—you’re making it look and
feel right.
*Qualifications*
*Experience*
• We recognize that AI tooling, workflows, and best practices have changed
drastically—and continue to change fast. Because of that, we are not hiring
for a rigid number of years of experience. We care more about demonstrated
capability: what you can build, how quickly you can learn, and how effectively
you can turn ambiguity into real, usable solutions.
*Must-Haves*
• Demonstrated experience building functional apps or tools using AI-assisted
coding (Claude Code, Cursor, GPT Codex, Replit Agent, or similar). Show us
what you’ve built.
• Strong “vibe coding” ability—you can move fast with AI tools and know when
to prompt, when to code, and when to do both.
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make)
and the judgment to know when to use them vs. building something custom.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear, working
solutions—not just documents or diagrams.
• Strong design instinct. Your UIs are clean, modern, and intentional. You
don’t need a designer to make something look good.
• Experience working with AI tools in real workflows: prompt engineering,
structured outputs, human review loops, and iterating on quality.
• High ownership mentality and comfort operating at startup speed. You ship,
you iterate, you don’t wait for permission.
• Strong written communication—you can document what you build so others can
use and maintain it.
*Nice-to-Haves*
• Traditional software development skills (Python, JavaScript, React, etc.) to
complement AI-assisted development.
• Experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, healthcare ops, or
regulated environments.
• Familiarity with data privacy considerations (HIPAA-adjacent) and secure
handling of sensitive data.
• Experience building dashboards or data tools (Streamlit, Retool, internal
admin panels).
• Background in process engineering, ops, or solutions engineering—you
understand systems thinking.
• Basic SQL or scripting skills for data work and analysis.
*Who You Are*
You light up when you ship something new. You’d rather build a working
prototype today than spend a week planning one. You have taste—when you make
something, it looks like a real product, not a hackathon project. You thrive
in ambiguity, move fast, and take pride in work that other people actually
want to use.
