Bank Accountant

PURPOSE
You will be a member of the IQVIA financial shared services center in
Bratislava Slovakia, which is an integral part of our global financial shared
services network.
On this position, you will be responsible for the US GAAP accounting and
reporting requirements for the Company’s legal entities in a number of
countries. This will include mainly bank accounting duties to ensure the
entities’ books are complete and accurate and are reported to the US parent
company in a timely fashion each month. The primary focus will be to ensure
strict adherence to US GAAP, internal financial policies, and ensure
compliance with IQVIA Financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Support month end process within deadlines and instructions.
•Assist local accountants in resolving intercompany discrepancies.
•Reconcile Company’s bank accounts on monthly basis
•Utilize automation tools and cash management modules to identify and resolve any unmatched items on bank reconciliation
•Book regular monthly journals and ad hoc adjustments as required
•Prepare or review accounts reconciliations on timely basis in accordance with
Group internal control guidelines.
•Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for
independent audits.
•Provide full audit support during annual financial audits
•Participate in automation projects or initiatives
•Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners and support business partners in financial decisions, if required.
•Maintain and improve technical accounting skills.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•General Ledger Accounting background preferably with Finance Shared Service.
Intercompany or bank accounting experience is preferred.
•Strong communication skills – effective verbal and written communication
skills in English language is MUST
•Attention to detail and a high degree of intellectual curiosity; inquisitive.
•Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine
appropriate action.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-
workers and managers.
•Sense of urgency and ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work
requirements to meet deadlines.
•Strong customer service focus, with a drive to ensure that we exceed the
expectations of our customers.
•Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and
challenges in a time-sensitive environment.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience in accounting.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
•Technical accounting skills.
•Good analytical and numeracy skills.
•Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
•Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet
deadlines.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-
workers, managers and clients

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is €18,900.00 - €28,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
