Deck Foreman - Fallpipe Vessel

As a Deck Foreman on our Fallpipe vessels, you are responsible for the building up of the fallpipe, to execute our offshore activities in good order. You guide a team of deckhands and work together proactively. Your technical knowledge makes sure you oversee the process from A to Z.
Your responsibilities

You co-ordinate the build-up, operation, and break-up of the fallpipe system

You lead, supervise and motivate the crew during all deck operations
-
You ensure the deck acitivities are carried out safely, efficiently, according to procedures and instructions
-
You act as the main point of contact between the deck crew and vessel officers
-
You keep familiarised with the company’s VMS, risk assessments and work procedures.

You create work permits in our software system Maximo
-
You take part in promoting the shipping company's policies on safety and environmental protection
-
You monitor working conditions and intervene proactively to prevent unsafe situations on deck
-
You plan and assign daily tasks, you ensure adequate manpower and clear instructions
-
You report any unsafe practices to the officer on duty and attempt to rectify them
-
You maintain good order, cleanliness, and readiness of the deck and the equipment
-
You participate in all training programmes and drills as directed
-
You adhere to requirements of all applicable manuals of the fallpipe
-
You contribute to a positive working atmosphere and strong teamwork on board
Your profile

You are a hands-on maritime professional with strong leadership skills and a practical mindset
-
You feel at home on deck and know how to guide a team safely and efficiently in a demanding offshore environment

You lead by example, communicate clearly, and remain calm under pressure
-
While you understand the equipment and operations on board, your strength lies in coordinating people, maintaining discipline, and ensuring work is done correctly, safely, and on time. Flexibility, responsibility, and a strong safety awareness are key parts of who you are.

You are computer wise in order to work with your software systems

You have at least a Basic Safety VI/1 certificate

You have GWO certificates or can obtain them easily
