Costume Logistics Technician

at The Royal Opera House


Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering excellence for every performance, rehearsal and event. Working within a small team responsible for the transport and storage of RBO Costumes and assets, this new position will work closely with the Senior Manager and Assistant Manager to assist with the delivery of costume logistics, stores and transport resources for all Royal Ballet (RB) and Royal Opera (RO) productions, co-productions and RBO hires, ensuring work is carried out safely and effectively within agreed resources and budgets. Our ideal candidate will be a team player who can demonstrate: Experience of warehousing and theatre operations and preferably of the logistics involved in a repertory operation. A good knowledge of periods and history of costumes and of costume terminology. A good track record working with a production theatre or venue, with knowledge of standard opera and ballet repertoire an advantage. Good knowledge of the latest techniques, materials and products used for costume making and maintenance. Experience of working with databases and excellent MS Office skills.
