Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking a Board- Certified Criticalist (DACVECC) or Residency-Trained Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join a growing specialty team. Our ideal candidate:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC) or Residency-Trained Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian
  • Active veterinary license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain – we cover state licensure transfer fees)
  • Highly organized and capable of handling a wide range of cases
  • Passionate about practicing outstanding medicine but also working as a cohesive team
  • Strong communicator who models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients

About Our Hospital:

  • A 6,180-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility providing advanced emergency and specialty care
  • A team of Specialists in Oncology and Surgery, and a cohesive group of nine (and counting) Emergency Clinicians
  • A skilled team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians and support staff (4 to 1 Veterinary Technician to DVM Ratio)
  • A dedicated leadership team including a Hospital Administrator, a Director of Clinical Staff, and a Client Service Supervisor
  • Practice advanced ECC medicine with access to CT imaging, ultrasound, endoscopy, ICU monitoring, transfusion medicine, and fully equipped surgical suites to support complex case management
  • Specialized equipment including Snyder oxygen cages, canine/feline transfusions, LigaSure, PoliPhase sealant, and GIA stapler
  • 24/7 patient monitoring and critical care
  • Chemotherapy and immunotherapy services
