We offer holistic therapy and medication management to help women overcome challenges like postpartum mental health issues. Our dedicated team of professionals works in a collaborative, flexible, and remote environment, ensuring comprehensive care for our clients. We are rapidly expanding and committed to improving access to quality mental health services across the U.S.
Job Overview
We are looking for an MD to join our growing team. As part of our team of prescribers, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health care, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication management, working closely with our clinical team to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients. This position requires a high level of clinical expertise and compassion to ensure success.
At LunaJoy, the Supervising MD serves in a hands-on clinical capacity that integrates direct patient interaction with clinical stewardship. This role extends beyond mere oversight; the individual will manage a dedicated patient panel while simultaneously guiding our clinical practitioners to uphold premier psychiatric standards throughout the organization. We seek a veteran psychiatrist devoted to women's mental wellness who desires to maintain their medical practice while mentoring and advancing our multidisciplinary clinical collective.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Maintain an active caseload, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for women, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management with a focus on personalized, evidence-based care. This is a core, ongoing part of the role, not incidental to supervisory duties.
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee the clinical team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care and ethical practice. Lead by example in providing exceptional mental health services.
- Program Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement innovative mental health programs and services that meet the evolving needs of women.
- Training and Supervision: Mentor and supervise psychiatric nurse practitioners and other mental health professionals. Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified in Psychiatry, with additional certification or significant experience in women's mental health preferred
- Valid state medical license
- 5+ years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Genuine interest in continuing to see patients directly, in addition to supervisory responsibilities
- Demonstrated commitment to women's mental health and patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Specialized training in psychopharmacology or psychiatric care related to women’s health.
- Experience in telehealth or remote care delivery.
