Want to join the leader in AI-powered data security?

Want to help us simplify the world of data management?
Supportability and Observability are critical to helping customers operate Cohesity products confidently at enterprise scale. The portfolio spans alerting, monitoring, telemetry, diagnostic and log collection, upgrade health, proactive issue detection, operational integrations, and the workflows used by customers, Support, and SRE teams to identify and resolve problems.

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the Supportability and Observability portfolio. You'll turn customer and field signals into a coherent strategy, execution-ready requirements, and durable platform improvements while driving alignment across product, engineering, support, SRE, and go-to-market teams.

At Cohesity, product management plays a central role in driving product development by working in close collaboration with our engineering and go-to- market teams. Our team works across all levels of the organization; engaging with executive stakeholders, directly with customers across the globe, and interacting heavily with our user experience team. You’ll do your best work at Cohesity with an incredibly talented team!

HOW YOU 'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Define and drive the Supportability and Observability strategy, roadmap, and quarterly priorities across alerts, monitoring, telemetry, diagnostics, log collection, upgrade health, and proactive issue detection.

  • Turn customer escalations, support-case patterns, SRE insights, field feedback, and product telemetry into root-cause-focused investments that reduce operational friction and repeat incidents.

  • Own the product direction for alert quality and standardization, including signal coverage, severity, actionability, noise reduction, routing, and consistent behavior across platform and workloads.

  • Improve diagnostic data collection and support workflows, including time capsules, nightly bundles, on-demand collection, storage efficiency, governance, and faster access to relevant troubleshooting evidence.

  • Drive an Observability ecosystem strategy that supports customer and partner tools, including Prometheus-based monitoring and other enterprise integrations.

  • Partner with engineering, Support, and SRE to define instrumentation requirements, service-level indicators, health signals, quality gates, and release-readiness criteria.

  • Lead proactive supportability initiatives such as upgrade and configuration health, risk detection, automated triage, and guidance that helps customers prevent issues before they become cases.

  • Translate complex customer requirements into clear problem statements, product requirements, measurable outcomes, and sequenced delivery plans.

  • Build customer-facing and field-facing guidance for monitoring, alerts, diagnostics, deployment readiness, and operational best practices.

  • Define product health, adoption, support-efficiency, and customer-outcome metrics; communicate tradeoffs, progress, risks, and decisions to senior leadership.

  • Influence teams across Engineering, Support, SRE, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Product Marketing, Security, Cloud Services, and partner organizations without direct authority.

WE 'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of enterprise infrastructure, data management, cloud platform, observability, supportability, or distributed-systems products.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex technical portfolios through reliability improvement, customer commitments, and strategic platform evolution.

  • Strong technical fluency in enterprise infrastructure and observability concepts, including alerts, metrics, logs, traces, telemetry pipelines, diagnostics, health models, and operational integrations.

  • Practical understanding of supportability workflows such as issue detection, triage, evidence collection, root-cause analysis, escalation management, upgrade health, and proactive risk identification.

  • Proven ability to use customer escalations, support data, telemetry, and market evidence to make prioritization decisions.

  • Experience driving multi-team, multi-quarter programs with dependencies, ambiguous ownership, and executive visibility.

  • Ability to quickly understand technologies and architecture, and interpret and articulate them into customer-facing benefits
  • Ability to direct and indirectly influence peers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong ability to build relationships with people across all levels and organization

Who are you:

  • You are always listening to customers (internal and external).
  • You are innovative, self-directed and have an eye towards execution
  • You value outcomes over effort and drive for clarity on what we want to achieve and orient our effort toward achieving those outcomes.
  • You think big, bring data, and act decisively with a backbone.
