Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care is a state of the art referral
hospital currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our
Physical Rehabilitation team.
Each of our team members take pride in their work, enjoys their job and working together. We are looking for that special individual to contribute their best to enhance the lives of injured or physically impaired animals.

Schedule: 10 hour shift Day shift Experience: Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Gentle handling of patients & restraining
- Assisting with physical rehabilitation treatments,
- Maintaining rehabilitation equipment
- Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep
- Medication administration & filling prescriptions
- Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed
- Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience
- Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
- Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
