The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

  • Lead and coordinate a team of 3–4 SOX testers across geographies, ensuring timely execution against the annual SOX calendar and program objectives.
  • Support annual scoping for global business processes and strengthen walkthroughs, control design assessments, and overall testing rigor.
  • Drive controls rationalization by improving control descriptions, mapping controls to financial statement assertions, identifying risks, and assessing deficiencies or mitigating controls.
  • Partner with process owners, Global SOX, Audit leadership, and functional leaders to remediate deficiencies, address business or system changes, and reinforce ownership of 3M’s control framework.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, MBA in Finance, or professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
  • 8+ years of SOX compliance experience in a multinational environment or with a public accounting firm.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, risk and controls standards, and business process best practices.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Workiva, and Microsoft Suite, with experience managing projects under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute project plans while effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable contributing individually and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Work Location: Hebbal, Bangalore (Karnataka), Hybrid Mode
