Supervisor, Plant Operations

JOB PURPOSE
To supervise LPG cylinders production and filling operations, ensure availability of required production levels and to maintain sufficient stocks of cylinders (filled and empty) according to scheduled demand.
To coordinate with Distribution supervisor to ensure daily cylinders production output is maintained in line with distribution requirements for customers and filling stations.
To coordinate with Supply supervisor to ensure input LPG supply is maintained for all production lines required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities Filling Operations Planning
• Assists Team Leader and for preparation of weekly and daily production plans as per availability of empty cylinders and for optimized utilization of filling lines.
• To coordinate with distribution supervisor to ensure daily cylinders production output is maintained in line with distribution requirements for customers and filling stations.
• Ensures availability of all the required resources for execution of weekly and daily production plans. Prepares daily filling activities schedules and manpower allocation plans accordingly.
• Prepares store requisitions according to production levels and product specifications. Coordinates collection of required materials from stores.
• Responsible for preparing weekly empty cylinders planning and follow up with distribution supervisor for timely feeding to LPG filling Plant. Filling Operations Management
• Giving work instructions to Plant Operators and Forklift Operators in relation to filling of cylinders as per daily filling program
. • Ensures that the cylinders are filled in accordance with technical and safety instructions.
• Ensures that all production equipment and machinery is maintained in good operational condition. Coordinate with maintenance regarding any maintenance and repairs works.
• Notifies team leader of any emergencies or malfunction that occur to the equipment and filling machines for remedial action.
• Maintains records of all cylinders in productions and filling areas specifying their quantity, size, state (filled & empty), etc. in each location. Monitors safety of cylinders and follow up customers’ complaints and reports to LPG filling Plants accordingly.
• Ensures all relevant information pertaining to the shift operations are duly updated in the eLog – Shift handover system.
• Other Responsibilities as per Company’s Rules and/or as assigned by team leader. Filling Equipment and Facility Maintenance
• Ensures smooth operation of filling lines by raising work notifications and maintaining a log of errors/repair works required on the filling line equipment. Coordinates with maintenance staff for effective implantation of preventive maintenance plans. Inventory Management and Reconciliation
• Prepares daily and monthly report for number of cylinders filled and LPG Bulk consumed and entered the same in ERP and reconcile it with distribution section.
• Maintain record of non-operations cylinders rejected during filling process with categories specified.
• Reconcile LPG Bulk consumed with supply supervisor and team leader. Performance Monitoring and Improvement
• Calculating daily efficiency of all filling lines to ensure effective utilization of Company assets.
• Identifies bottlenecks in the filling operation and participates in small continuous improvement programs to ensure maximum filling line efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Technical Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical or other related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in supervising LPG bottling operations or related Oil and Gas Operations.
