About the Role:

The 1st Phorm Student Marketer is a highly visible and hands-on role designed for ambitious students who are eager to gain real-world marketing and event management experience while representing a fitness and wellness brand. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between 1st Phorm and your campus community developing and executing creative marketing initiatives, cultivating strategic relationships, and educating peers on our products and lifestyle.

This is an independent, entrepreneurial position where you will be empowered to design and implement your own campus marketing plan, manage product activations, and contribute directly to the growth of 1st Phorm's presence both on and off campus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute On-Campus Marketing Activations

  • Conceptualize, plan, and host engaging events such as sampling sessions, product demonstrations, and pop-up activations that align with student interests and campus culture.

  • Identify high-traffic areas and student gatherings to maximize reach and impact.

2. Cultivate Campus Partnerships

  • Build relationships with student organizations, athletic teams, Greek life, and academic clubs to integrate 1st Phorm products into their events, training facilities, and group activities.

  • Develop mutually beneficial collaborations that enhance brand visibility while providing value to partner organizations.

3. Engage in Local Community Marketing

  • Research and identify off-campus events -- such as fitness competitions, charity runs, or community festivals -- where brand activation would be impactful.

  • Serve as the liaison between 1st Phorm and event organizers to negotiate participation opportunities and ensure seamless execution.

4. Educate and Advocate

  • Develop an advanced understanding of 1st Phorm's product portfolio, including ingredient profiles, performance benefits, and usage guidelines.

  • Confidently communicate product knowledge to diverse audiences in an approachable, credible manner that fosters trust and interest.

5. Develop Business-to-Business Relationships

  • Identify local retailers, gyms, and wellness-focused businesses that align with the brand's mission.

  • Present partnership or sales opportunities to business owners and work collaboratively to implement in-store activations or product placements.

6. Plan and Manage Product Inventory

  • Oversee product allocation to ensure efficient and effective resource utilization.

  • Track inventory levels, manage product distribution timelines, and report on event performance metrics.

7. Conduct Market Research and Consumer Analysis

  • Monitor cultural, social, and product trends within your age group and demographic.

  • Apply findings to tailor marketing strategies that resonate with your target audience and reflect current consumer behaviors.

8. Collaborate with Retailers and Distributors

  • Gain insight into 1st Phorm's retail and distribution network.

  • Work directly with local partners to design activations that drive sales and enhance customer engagement.

  • Involved in campus organizations or student activities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Interest in fitness, wellness, or an active lifestyle

Skills:

Throughout this role, students develop a wide range of professional skills, including the ability to build and execute strategic, localized marketing plans tailored to specific demographics. They gain hands-on experience in event planning and logistics, learning how to organize, promote, and successfully execute events from start to finish. The position also strengthens sales and negotiation techniques, teaching students how to present ideas persuasively and secure partnerships or sales opportunities. In addition, they learn to network effectively and build strong relationships with peers, business owners, and organizational leaders. Communication and public speaking skills grow as they practice delivering clear and compelling messages to various audiences. Students also sharpen their analytical thinking through market research, interpreting consumer data, and applying insights to real marketing strategies. Finally, they gain exposure to business operations and retail engagement, including product distribution, merchandising, and partnership activation.
