Dry Warehouse Relief
Purpose:
The Dry Warehouse material handler is responsible for receiving all incoming raw material, chemical and other supplies, logging them in and overseeing their distribution. This position will function as support and PTO relief for the day shift material handlers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- All plant personnel have the responsibility to monitor and report any deviations from our Food Safety and Food Quality (HACCP & SQF) programs to your immediate supervisor.
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, maintenance parts, lab supplies, chemicals and deliveries from Fed Ex and UPS.
- Accurately receive raw materials into the inventory system. Log other deliveries and distribute to department or addressee as needed.
- Make delivery appointments for dry packaging, check in drivers, verify trailer seals, and trailer contents
- Maintain organization of the warehouse so all materials are pulled FIFO; maintain all raw materials in a manner consistent with QA Standards.
- Stage packaging, communicate with hostler and other operators to ensure adequate material is available timely throughout the day
- Maintain storage trailer inventory and trailer board. Communicate with carrier logistic departments on empties.
- Experience with Stand Up Fork trucks or Bendi Articulated fork trucks a must
- Experience with retrieving/putting away pallets as high as 24 feet
- Follow established SOPs to maintain efficient running of the dry warehouse
- Receive and supervise bulk chemical deliveries, assist production in keeping chemical barrels stocked and clean out empties.
- Responsible for monthly drain cleaning, as well as ensuring a safe and clean environment throughout the warehouse on a daily basis.
This position will function as primary support for day shift material handlers as well as cover PTO for day shift requiring a temporary change to their work schedule.

4x10 hour shifts

Other Required Responsibilities:
Assist in other plant operations and activities as time permits
Knowledge and Experience:
- Dry warehouse experience preferred.
- Good with numbers
- Inventory maintenance experience preferred.

Detail oriented team member with a strong, honest work ethic and the ability to handle multiple tasks daily.

Ability to pass and maintain state forklift safety certification.
- Good organization skills and solid grasp of the needs of production to keep storage inventory at optimum levels.
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the physical ability to work the entire shift standing and in
temperatures ranging between 80-34 degrees will be a requirement. Standing,
walking, climbing, repetitive bending, repetitive stooping, repetitive
reaching with arms and repetitive grasping with hands and fingers. Must have
the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to work safely in a challenging environment working around
production machines, warehouse equipment, forklifts, large trucks, and
tankers.
