Maintenance Technician

Job Type: Full-time and scheduled overtime.
• Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm.
• Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines run smoothly and operate efficiently.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, adjust machine parameters, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance activities.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
• Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
• General electrical and/or mechanical experience.
• Experience with multi-layer film blowing extrusion equipment.
• Experience with Bag machines, printing presses or material converting equipment.
• Some knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Tools & Technology:
• Hand Tools
• Volt Ohm Meter
• Welding
• Machining Tools example: drill press, band saw, belt sander
• Read and interpret schematics.
• Scissor Lift and forklift operation.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years solid and continuous work experience beyond an entry level role required. Experience in manufacturing is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with others.
• Demonstrated understanding of cause-and-effect and ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
• Quality-minded, conscientious, and self-motivated.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required.
