Job details
APEC are seeking a qualified and detail oriented Asbestos Analyst to join
our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting
air monitoring, four-stage clearances, bulk sampling, and asbestos fibre
counting in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
What you will do
- Conduct air monitoring and fibre counting.
- Perform four stage clearance procedures.
- Carry out smoke tests and visual inspections.
- Collect bulk samples for laboratory analysis.
- Ensure compliance with HSE guidance.
- Produce accurate reports and maintain clear documentation.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment in line with UKAS standards.
Who you are
- BOHS P403 & P404 qualified (essential)
- Experienced in asbestos air monitoring and four stage clearance testing
- Knowledgeable in HSG248 and current UK asbestos legislation
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Professional communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable:
- Additional BOHS modules (P401, P402)
- Experience across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites
- Previous experience within a UKAS accredited laboratory environment
