National Sales Manager UK and Ireland

To be part of the UK Sales team based at home or Head Office, Hadleigh near
Ipswich Suffolk and responsible for generating sales within the UK and Ireland
by promoting the full range of pumps and associated equipment plus peripheral
services.
To generate sales for the Company and develop strong sustainable relationships
with clients in the sales region.
Additional duties include prospecting for new customers typically in the
following markets (although not exhaustive) pump and equipment rental, water
and wastewater, utility companies, municipalities, construction, civil
engineering, mineral extraction, oil and gas, general industrial, OEM,
manufacturing in order to meet sales targets for the territory.
Reporting to the Director of Sales. There is a dotted line to the Pioneer
rental division national sales manager to ensure consistent strategy, focus
and maximising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Produce a strategy for the region with an action plan to achieve sales
budgets. This
will include reviewing and developing, training existing customers and
distributors
and identifying new target countries and markets. Assist in the development of
the
business sales and marketing strategy
Deliver product, hydraulic, and sales training / presentations to existing
and potential
customers, as well as educating and motivating distributors
Produce technical sales quotations from qualified enquiries
Follow up on dormant accounts, current and old quotes, negotiate, and close
orders.
Work with other members of the sales team within Pioneer Pump and Franklin
Electric to develop ideas and opportunities to promote the full Franklin
Electric
Portfolio.
Liaise and work with members of the sales, engineering and production team
to
support sales and ensure we offer the best commercial and technical solution
to our
customers.
Attend customer sites as well as trade shows and exhibitions.
Prepare weekly sales reports (forecast, customer visit report, competitor
analysis
etc) showing sales volume including potential sales, monitored against the
budget,
with action plan to address the variations.
Create and maintain the sales pipeline.
Maintain accurate records of sales inquiries and progress using our CRM
system,
ensuring effective and timely updating and reporting.
Take ownership of achieving set sales targets, contributing to the growth
and
success of the business.
Maximising revenue opportunities from our existing customers and nurture
business
relationships.
Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets,
growth
areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services ensuring prompt
follow-up and reporting.
Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation and understand the
organisation
and key decision makers.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Ensure once orders are won that the information is communicated to the
internal
team in a timely manner so that is can be processed and executed.
Participate and visit exhibitions and conferences in the UK and Europe

Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and Pioneer Pump to
ensure outstanding customer service so we are an indispensable partner to our
customers.
Highlight trade shows to exhibit or attend
Determine any specific marketing materials relevant for the region
Highlight local trade journals, magazines, websites where we can consider
advertising or placing Pioneer case studies.
Support marketing with case studies and content.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
The successful job holder will be:

Able to plan and organise daily and weekly calls without daily supervision.
Able to demonstrate the ability to plan and manage their workload with the
overall goal of delivery and continuous growth to the business.
Have the ability to focus on identifying and developing areas of opportunity
to increase revenue.
Able to demonstrate drive and self-motivation in ensuring all opportunities
are followed up and the
business generated is profitable.
Have a good geographical knowledge of the area.
Hold a full current UK driving licence.
Ability to travel and stay away from home to support customer vis
Preferred: Educated to higher level standard (Higher Education) with good
science business based subject passes, or industry experience.
Experience:
Previous face to face sales experience is preferred in the sales or rental
business for plant hire equipment, rotating equipment industry or similar
industrial environment.
Be able to demonstrate a proven track record in profitable business
generation along with a good financial acumen, budgetary awareness, experience
of negotiating and working closely with customers to achieve optimum sales
agreements and reach financial targets.
Must have a high competency level in MS Office applications.
