Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Wichita, Kansas that is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.

The Fuel Cell Sealer is responsible for performing sealing operations on fuel cell components and assemblies in accordance with detailed specifications and work instructions. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying sealants, ensuring proper adhesion, and inspecting sealed areas to maintain the integrity and performance of fuel cell systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell. Apply scotchcast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures.
  • The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.
  • Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.
  • Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.
  • Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments.
  • Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.
  • Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
  • Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.
