Mechanical Designer Valves

Mechanical Designer Valves (m/f/d) 80-100%
The “Mechanical Designer Valves” is responsible for sustaining engineering and management of projects for improving existing products. Additionally, he/she supports the development of new products. As a member of a small development team he/she reports to the Head of Development Valves.

Key Deliverables:

• Completion of daily tasks in sustaining engineering and quality issues
• Management of small projects for the adaption and improvement of existing products
• Support in new product development:
  • Development and design of new and innovative products using internal tools (CAD, FEM, CFD) and external experts.
  • Elaboration of innovative product and design concepts
  • Evaluation of product performance according to specifications in collaboration with our testing lab
• Correct application of internal rules and processes
• Technically correct drawings according to internal and official standards
• Contribution to cost and quality optimization

Qualifications:

• Higher Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar

• 3 years of experience as mechanical designer

• Deep knowledge in production processes for metal and plastic parts
• Good experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks)
• Experience with tools like FMEA (risk analysis), specification sheets, Microsoft software
• Fluent in German and English
• Good collaboration in teams
