SENIOR SYSTEM ENGINEER (f/m/d)

Your Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you are directly responsible for the current and future trading infrastructure. You design and implement low latency, highly resilient infrastructure, considering the full infrastructure stack and in- line with development and the trading platform requirements. You report directly into the Head of Trading Infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and storage
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premise solutions to ensure scalability and availability
• Participation in on-call and out of hours change management (compensated)
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing infrastructure to optimize performance, security, and resilience
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence
• Develop and document best practices, standards, and procedures for systems engineering and infrastructure management
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, recommending and implementing new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other equivalent training
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on infrastructure (cloud and on-premise)
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and security principles
• Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Saltstack, Terraform, PowerShell, Python)
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining highly available, scalable infrastructure
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and collaborating with others
