at Nexstep Financial Group

About the Role

At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives- a mission we’ve honed since 1859.

Equitable is looking for a Product Manager driven to shape the future of its growing investment and advisory platform, Equitable Advisors. You will leverage your experience with alternative investments and other complex wealth management products to deliver solutions that help clients achieve their goals and enable financial advisors to build their practices. In executing the firm’s product strategy, you will get exposure to many functional areas of the organization as you lead and collaborate with key stakeholders to map out deliverables, advance projects, and gain approval from senior leaders. This is an opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert and own an end-to-end process from product onboarding to order review, while keenly managing risk and driving results.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities

  • Performing initial and ongoing due diligence of complex products including but not limited to real estate exchange programs (1031/DSTs) and other alternative and/or complex products

  • Conducting principal review of real estate exchange business (or other alternatives investments, as needed) with a thorough and earnest analysis of each unique transaction and the prompt resolution of any issues

  • Teaming with supervision, compliance partners and vendors on controls and risk management

  • Acting as the subject matter expert with regards to assigned product lines while maintaining a strong understanding of all product offerings offered through the BD/RIA

  • Reviewing, editing and creating communications and training content for assigned products

  • Managing relationships with external vendors and product sponsors for assigned product lines

  • Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to advance initiatives, resolve conflicts, address complex issues, and attain business goals and objectives

  • Monitoring business and industry trends and identifying opportunities to better serve the needs of clients and advisors, helping to grow sales and assets for the Equitable Advisors retail channel

  • Understanding and contributing to the firm’s written supervisory procedures (WSPs)

  • Supporting or executing additional ad-hoc projects as assigned by your leader

This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near our office (e.g., Charlotte, NC), a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.
