POSITION SUMMARY
Services existing life & health accounts. Provides support for producers
to facilitate the growth of new business and to retain existing clients.
Directs sales of individual life & health products.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Provides daily customer service to existing customers, documenting all conversations into the agency management system.
- Discusses insurance needs with customers and advises customers on proper products to meet their particular needs. Reviews existing accounts and suggests additional coverage's.
- Obtains quotes for prospects.
- Negotiates terms and premiums with underwriters and has the authority to bind coverage on behalf of underwriters of various insurance agencies.
- Services existing clients with day to day needs necessary for their insurance program.
- Must maintain a license in good standing as required with the IN Department of Insurance.
- Must have valid driver's license.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.

Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience preferred.
- Previous risk management and customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of agency management and carrier rating systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
- Ability to work independently to achieve sales goals.
- Attention to detail.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
LICENSES
Indiana Life & Health license required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars,
etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
