Plumber

Kennedy Mechanical is currently looking to hire multiple Plumbers. Kennedy Mechanical is a well-established company in Rochester, NY and with a large project in the Vestal area. Work schedule will be Monday-Friday, day shift.

Qualifications:

• Previous Plumbing Experience
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Self-motivated
• Mechanically inclined
• Verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Tasks include Lifting, Digging, Climbing Ladders, and Entering Small or Confined Spaces
• Ability to Lift, Pull, Carry, Push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks which may include overhead or awkward positioning

Job type: Full-time
Pay Range: $24-$38/hour

Responsibilities

· Understanding of plumbing codes

· Utilizing various types of power tools

· Installing natural gas piping systems both steel and corrugated stainless steel tubing

· Installing sanitary waste and vent systems utilizing Sch 40 PVC, cast iron and copper

· Installation of roof drains and storm piping systems

· Installation of domestic hot water tanks and central hot water heating systems

· Installation of plumbing fixtures including toilets, sinks, showers and accessories

· Installation repair and maintenance of pump systems

· Read and understand project drawings and project specifications
