We are currently looking for an Wire Harness Associate to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Wire Harness Associate is responsible for being a part of the production team who assembles wire harnesses according to written and verbal instructions as per required specifications. Must be a quality focused and a team player.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Job Specific Competencies
Manufacturing
- Reads and comprehends CAD drawings (aka: Blueprints)
- Wraps and ties wires to form wire harnesses to customer order specifications
- Reads instructions, work orders, diagrams and wire lists
- Cleans, organizes and maintains work area
Communication/Collaboration
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborates with other members of the wire harness team
- Supports manufacturing activities in other departments, including proper documentation
Legal Compliance
- Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Working Conditions
Movement This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Operate/Use Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)
Ascend/Descend Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files
Communicate This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Transport This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moves up to 50 pounds for various needs.
Overtime may be required to work overtime and/or some Saturdays with little to no notice to meet production demands.
Work Environment Relatively quiet but fast paced.
