About The Division:
Put your customer service skills to use in a meaningful way at our Taxpayer Services Call Center. We are looking for individuals with strong customer service skills and experience in a fast-paced call center environment.
This position is for an Accounts Examiner III in the Taxpayer Services Division. This position is located in our call center located in the LBJ Building, 8th Floor, Austin, Texas, providing customer assistance regarding taxes administered by the Comptroller, including providing information on sales tax, franchise tax and other taxes and fees.
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours. Hours and telework schedules are subject to change based on business need. The Taxpayer Services has a probationary telework schedule as follows: new division employees must work in office a minimum of 30 calendar days before the employee is eligible to telework. First 30 days – employees must work in the office 5 days per week. Day 31 – employees must work in the office 3 days per week. You are eligible to apply for two additional telework days (i.e.,) if approved, the employee can telework 4 days) after the successful completion of the 6-month probationary telework schedule.
