Multi Media Advertising Sales Manager

Job Summary:

Do you want to lead teams to success? Can you shape talent and close sales? Are you success-driven and team- focused? This position will lead the advertising sales efforts for AMM of the Chesapeake in the Dundalk to Elkton region of Maryland. We have two offices and currently, four sales executive with one sales support person. The offices are in Dundalk and Elkton, MD.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess effective presentation skills, creativity, strategic thinking, idea generator, good oral and written comprehension. You will drive your team to sales success and will also have direct selling efforts to reward yourself.

Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to lead by example.

Job Functions

• This leader will manage the advertising strategy, both from a business, sales and technical perspective.

• This leader will assist with the budget development and projections for advertising.

• This leader will come with a plan of action to grow the digital revenue

• Will motivate staff in weekly in team meetings and 1 x 1s.

• This leader will use their skills in direct selling efforts weekly

• This leader will support and manage KPIs, field rides, 1-on-1s, team meetings, group meetings, and learning segments

• This leader will spend 70% of their time in the business community, training staff and creating optimal solutions for area businesses.

• This leader will represent the brand at local community events after hours when needed

• Experience working in small markets will be beneficial to this position.

• This position will rely extensively on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• This position will provide vacation and illness relief for their direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in the media industry (preferred) and at least two years of successful sales management experience.

• Specific management experience in the following: Retail Sales, Digital Sales and Inside Sales is a plus.

OTE: $66,000 - 86,000 + mileage + cellphone

Technology Skills

Proficiency in G-Suite needed. Ability to learn other relevant software programs and teach direct reports is paramount.
