Mechanical Technical expert

As a Technical Expert within our Fleet Department, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the mechanical integrity and optimization of our fleet. You will specialize within one of our expert domains, such as Gearboxes, Propulsion, or another Supporting system, providing in-depth technical knowledge while maintaining a broad engineering perspective. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of technical challenges related to our cutting-edge vessels and machinery.
Your responsibilities

Provide technical support and expertise within one of our expert domains (e.g., Gearboxes, Propulsion, or other supporting systems).

Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Assist in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical failures within your area of expertise.

Support engineering projects focused on innovation, sustainability, and efficiency improvements.

Liaise with suppliers, classification societies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Your profile

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field) or equivalent through experience.

Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in a technical engineering role (maritime industry experience is a plus).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.

Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Willingness to travel occasionally to fleet locations or project sites (20%).

Fluent in English; verbal and written.
