Marketing Analyst

The purpose of the Marketing Analyst is to help elevate data’s role within our marketing organization. They will be responsible for gathering and reporting on market data, performing competitive research, identifying industry trends, and performing research for new product development. The role is accountable for communicating insights to business leaders throughout the organization. This role will serve as an all-around athlete combining a high level of business acumen, analytical ability and technical skills.
Making an Impact
• Aggregate and analyze market forecast data and assess implications for
product and service strategies.
• Develop SEO, AIO and AIGEO optimization recommendations across digital
channels to strengthen lead generation and demand funnel performance.
• Manage GA4 tracking implementation and governance, including UTM
strategy, tagging consistency, and reporting accuracy.
• Develop business cases to enter new markets, offer new products in
defined markets and support strategic initiatives pertaining to business
development.
• Deliver on ad-hoc market analysis requests from regional leaders and
finance to help develop tailored strategies
• Use data mining and other analytical techniques to gain insight into
customers to improve the effectiveness of communications and products.
• Identify and explore relevant third-party data sources to enhance
customer profiles, build our market understanding, and support marketing
analysts with new data sets.
• Improve the presentation and communication of marketing analytics across
the organization.
• Define requirements for report templates.
• Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, demand gen and CRM).
• Ensure timely delivery of reporting and insights and build user-friendly
answers to basic marketing questions (e.g., executive dashboards, market-level
dashboards, etc.).
Sharing Expertise
• Work with business leaders to help support business plan development with
market level and industry level insights
• Present market findings through data visualization. Be able to present
technical information and findings to a non-technical audience.
Gaining Exposure
• Must maintain strong relationships with marketing leaders to understand
needs of marketing department
• Must be comfortable listening to the field (sales and recruiting) to
understand pain points and translate those into problems that should be
tackled
Your Typical Day
• Receive requests from Marketing leaders for market or industry level
insights
• Gather required data and summarize finding in simple and concise
presentation
• Support new product development by identifying needed insights for proper
stage gate decision making and go to market strategy development
• Perform competitive analysis
• Summarize insights to inform marketing plans
• Uncover market opportunities and communicate findings to marketing
leaders
• Perform regular cadence of reporting required for leadership
