Production & Assembly Representative

SUMMARY

Responsible for recognizing, identifying, loading and installing all parts according to the customer’s system specifications and requirements. Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on products. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing assembly tasks. Responsible for preparing the system and ensuring quality throughout the kitting, boxing, and assembly process.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Identifies the availability of components for the computer and installs parts according to the build instructions
• Troubleshoots systems including the reseating of essential components, and notifies repair team when/if the system fails
• Recognizes, identifies and loads parts and chassis for the system into the tote
• In case of product returns, performs basic tests on all returned factory sealed products, and determines if defective systems are repairable or will need to be sent to teardown
• Exchanges wrong parts, retrieves missing parts or returns extra parts to kitting line
• Recognizes, identifies and checks system to ensure all documentation and accessories are in system box in case this is applicable to the local operating procedures
• Performs relevant scanning and de-stacks systems and plugs system in for software download and burn
• Lifts and places system in the final packaging utilizing the vacu-hoist, verifies for damages, applies labels and performs final inspection and test to ensure parts are installed and function properly per customer’s system specification
