Commercial Analyst

The Commercial Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency for active fleets. This role is responsible for setting up and monitoring pre- and post-job margins, validating customer charges, coordinating with supply chain and sales, and supporting accurate billing and inventory reconciliation across multiple departments. The position requires strong attention to detail, cross-functional communication, and a solid understanding of oilfield service operations. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain pre-job margin models, ensuring all material and service components retain bid margin targets. Distribute job proposals to district personnel to confirm pricing alignment prior to job execution. Audit job tickets on a stage-by-stage basis to verify accuracy and confirm proper billing to customers. Collaborate with Supply Chain to determine the most cost-effective logistics, proppant, and chemical options on a job-by-job basis. Generate and maintain sales orders for Alpine pass-through sand revenue. Track and ensure all POs/PIs for assigned fleets are captured accurately in post-job margin reports. Support Accounts Receivable (AR) by identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and actively monitoring DSO and aging revenue for assigned fleets. Assist Accounts Payable (AP) in processing vendor invoices and notify AP when discrepancies warrant invoice rejection. Partner with Sales Directors and Account Managers to ensure proper customer billing and to communicate each customer's financial status and ranking. Oversee billing and auditing for assigned fleets to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of inventory-related issues at job closeout. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred with a minimum of five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience. Ability to train Field Engineers and/or Field Technical Representatives FracPro modeling software. Understanding pre-job and post job QA/QC practices for hydraulic fracturing. Ability to work in a collaborative environment with operations, sales, and engineering. Knowledge of mathematical and scientific principles applicable to hydraulic fracturing and ability to make practical application of such knowledge in performance of duties. Ability to utilize education, training and experience to design models for frac jobs and to assist Field Engineers and Field Technical Representatives with these matters. 2+ years of relevant experience in oilfield services, commercial analysis, or financial operations. Strong analytical skills with a detail- oriented mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NAV, Power BI, or Power Automate is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance/accounting, and sales teams. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers/scanners, and smartphones. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
