Medical Records Rep II - TGH Imaging Medical Records, Carrollwood

This position is responsible for maintaining patient records and responding to all requests for medical records. This role is responsible for retrieving, requesting, and sending images and links from the PACS system as requested. May also participate in resolving report delivery issues. The role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely release of medical documentation while supporting patients, providers, and internal teams. This role may also float to other sites as a Medical Records Rep II.
Essential Functions
· Prepare records for patient pickup or delivery to physician offices
· Respond to incoming calls and medical record requests
· Responsible for training and guiding medical records level 1 team
members.
· Provides clear communication to patients contributing to a
compassionate, comfortable and high-quality patient experience.
· Perform other assigned duties related to medical records management
· Retrieve, organize, and maintain radiology records, images, and
related documentation within electronic systems (e.g., PACS, EMR)
· Coordinate with facilitator on addendum requests.
· Coordinate with radiologists, technologists, front‑office staff, and
external facilities to obtain prior imaging or documentation as needed
· Follow safety, privacy, and HIPAA regulations, maintaining
confidentiality and ensuring proper patient identification and workflow
practices.
