Here is What Your day May Consist of:
As an integral member of our medical team, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Deliver compassionate nursing care to canine and feline patients
- Obtain patient histories and perform physical assessments
- Safely handle and restrain patients with a Fear Free approach whenever possible
- Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
- Place intravenous catheters and perform venipuncture
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia
- Assist veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures
- Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs
- Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and home care
- Collaborate with teammates to provide outstanding patient care and an exceptional client experience
Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:
- Current Pennsylvania Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or eligibility for licensure
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
- Strong technical nursing and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, collaborative team player
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary
