Position Overview
88 Tactical is seeking a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook to join the Founders Club culinary team. This role is responsible for supporting daily kitchen prep, maintaining organization and cleanliness, and helping ensure smooth Back of House operations. Typical shifts for this position are 7:00am–2:00pm. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, works well with a team, and takes pride in consistency and food quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other food items according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Assist with early morning kitchen prep and daily station setup
- Ensure kitchen readiness prior to lunch and dinner service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and prep areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Label, stock, and rotate inventory using FIFO practices
- Assist line cooks and chefs during service as needed
- Maintain consistent portioning and presentation standards
- Restock kitchen stations and communicate low inventory items to leadership
- Properly store food and equipment at the end of shifts
- Support banquet, catering, and special event preparation as needed
- Work collaboratively with BOH and FOH teams to support smooth operations
- Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or prep cook experience preferred but not required
- Ability to consistently work scheduled 7:00am–2:00pm shifts
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to follow recipes and directions consistently
- Team oriented mindset with willingness to help where needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Passion for hospitality, food quality, and teamwork
